This grill boasts an impressive seven unique grilling areas: a main grate equipped with a height-adjustable system and a griddle ideal for vegetables, among others. Combined, these areas offer a huge and versatile grilling space. It's ideally suited for slow-cooking short ribs over four hours, grilling Argentine sausages or chorizos, smoking fish on the Clamp grill, or achieving a closer-to-the-embers cook with the small removable grill.
The grill's durability and heat distribution are enhanced by firebricks lining its bottom and walls. Additional features include a bottle opener, a 304 stainless steel shovel and coal rake, and 4 swivel casters (two with brakes) for easy maneuverability. Height adjustable grates
This feature enables you to adjust the grates' height to precisely control the cooking temperature. Simply turn the wheel to raise or lower the main grates based on your needs: closer to the coals for more heat to sear, or further away for less heat, perfect for slow cooking. It's a characteristic commonly found in South American barbecues, designed to give you complete mastery over your grilling experience.
The firebox or brasero
The firebox, also known as a brasero, streamlines the process of lighting wood or charcoal, making it faster and requiring less effort. It ensures the fire stays lit and keeps it distanced from the food. Whether you prefer firewood, charcoal, or a mix of both, this feature accommodates your grilling style. For optimal results, lump charcoal and firewood come highly recommended. Once the coals are adequately heated, they simply drop below, offering a straightforward and effective way to ignite the fire and grill in the authentic style of a gaucho.
Firebricks
Firebricks are designed to minimize heat transmission to the outer panels while also ensuring even heat distribution throughout the grill. This characteristic is a hallmark of the Argentine grill and is considered essential for its ability to prolong the lifespan of the charcoal grill.
